The 080G0037 is a programmable controller produced by Danfoss for the MCX Programmable Controllers series. Designed for machine and HVAC supervision, the device executes user logic, collects field signals, and issues control commands to actuators in industrial automation systems. Its integrated display and communication port allow stand-alone deployment or networked operation with higher-level supervisory equipment. By combining power management, data acquisition, and sequence handling in one housing, it helps reduce panel space and wiring complexity.
The controller accepts 10 analog inputs for reading temperature, pressure, or position sensors and conditions each signal with internal 12-bit conversion. In addition, six analog outputs deliver proportional commands to valves or inverters, while 18 digital inputs handle contact-closure signals from devices such as limit switches or flow indicators. Command signals are distributed through 15 digital outputs that share a cumulative current capacity of 92 A to switch relays or solenoid coils directly. One RS485 port supports Modbus communication with remote drives or building networks. Sensor excitation is built in: the 12 V rail can provide 12 VDC at up to 200 mA, and a separate 5 VDC output supplies 210 mA for potentiometric transmitters, reducing the need for discrete power modules. When the application requires pulse modulation, the controller drives loads across a range of 20 Hz to 1 kHz, supporting fan-speed or heater duty-cycle control. The operating temperature range is -20 to 60 °C for CE installations and 0 to 55 °C under the UL listing. The controller can be stored at temperatures between -30 and 80 °C without performance degradation.
