The MCX line of programmable controllers, including the Danfoss 080G0065, was created to offer reliable yet flexible control for industrial, refrigeration, air conditioning ventilation.
The unit is flexible in the start-up source power, where it can be used in 20-60 volts DC-based systems. It can also operate with 24 VAC +/- 15 percent at 50/60 Hz, which makes it compatible with AC applications. At a maximum power of 6 W (9 VA), it allows efficient loading and its stable performance under different applications and conditions. This is compact and measures only 33 x 75 mm, and can be mounted on a panel, hence suitable where space is constrained but desired functionality is required. The controller has a broad input mix, as well as an output mix, to resolve complex control functions. It has four analog inputs, two of which are adjustable to support NTC/0-1V/0-5V signals, and the other 2 inputs are universal inputs. These common channels will accept ON/OFF signals, voltages (0-1V, 0-5V, 0-10V), current loops (0-20 mA, 4-20 mA), and temperature devices like NTC and Pt1000. It also integrates six digital inputs, including voltage-free contacts, so that the combination with switches and external equipment can be made flexible. On the output side, two analog lines are provided with configurable output of 0-10 VDC, PWM, or PPM, and six SPST relay outputs with 5 A (NO contacts).
With a 250 VAC and 30 VDC resistive load rating, this relay is designed to switch reliably under normal circumstances using 4 A of current. On inductive loads, it can withstand 0.7 A at 250 volts AC, giving sufficient safe and effective operation within the operating environment without any degradation or deformation, but rather, a high level of stability. Modbus RS-485 makes the communication reliable, and the unit is capable of networking. The front display contains two-digit groups of LED lights along with 18 icons to give clear information and operational feedback. The design of the 080G0065 includes a protection class IP64 front cover that guards against dust and splashes, and a working temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.
