Product Description:
The 080G0066 is a compact programmable controller manufactured by Danfoss and assigned to the MCX Programmable Controllers series. Designed for embedded HVAC and refrigeration applications, the unit executes application software, acquires field signals, and energizes outputs so pumps, compressors, or fans follow precise setpoints. By combining analog measurement, digital monitoring, and relay actuation in a single enclosure, it reduces panel complexity and allows standalone regulation in industrial automation loops.
The controller operates from a nominal supply of 24 V DC and consumes no more than 6 W, so it can share a low-voltage rail with sensors and signal-conditioning boards. Four differential channels handle temperature or pressure transducers; the presence of 4 analog inputs is sufficient for suction, discharge, and ambient probes commonly used in HVAC systems. Two voltage-driven channels form the analog output group, enabling modulating valve positioning or inverter speed references. For discrete signaling, the board provides 6 digital inputs that accept dry contacts and switching sensors, along with 6 digital outputs that switch onboard relays for compressors, fans, or alarms.
The analog section is scaled for both 0–10 V and 0–5 V transmitters. The 0–10 V channels present an impedance of 2 kΩ, while the lower-range inputs are buffered by 18 kΩ to minimize sensor loading. Digital points draw only 5 mA each. Voltage references are available on the board: a 12 V rail delivers 50 mA, and a 5 V rail supplies 80 mA for transducer excitation. The two analog outputs require a minimum external load of 1 kΩ and can source up to 6.8 V in pulse mode for step-driven valves. Each relay can switch loads up to 6 A, supporting direct compressor contactor control. Despite the functional density, the housing measures 33 × 75 mm and carries a sealing grade of IP64 / NEMA 3R, protecting the electronics from dust and splashed water within rooftop enclosures.
