The SLO-SYN SS2000MD7-RC is bipolar, speed adjustable, two-phase PWM drive that typically uses power MOSFET devices. It is engineered to operate a stepper motor either in full or half steps. It can also operate in full, 1/16, 1/64, or 1/128 micro-steps. It has a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm and comes with optically separated control signals that reduce the risk of electrical noise. The SS2000MD7-RC is short circuit proof, UL recognized and comes with thermal protection. It comes in a compact size a sturdy aluminum construction for an extended lifespan.
It measures 4.375” x 1.36” x 5.73” and weighs just about 1.5 pounds making it a portable and compatible drive in most applications. The SS2000MD7-RC drive should be operated in a temperature range between 0 and 50 degrees and stored between -40 and 75 degrees. A DC input range of 24VDC to 75VDC is also a crucial feature if this motor. Its maximum installation elevation is 3048 meters (10,000 feet) while it should be operated and stored in 95% maximum humidity. This Danaher Motion drive is compatible with Superior Electric KM and M motor series. The ideal frame size of M series should be M061-M092 while KM series should be KML060-KML093.
The SS2000MD7-RC drive operates on unregulated supply or regulated supply that has an added filter capacitor. Ensure that the wiring from the motor to the drive is shielded, twisted pair cable. Mounting should be vertical to foster ample cooling through natural convection. Also leave a space of two inches between the mounting surface and drive’s top, bottom and sides. If possible, mount it in its own metal case to protect it from electrical noise.
