The Block I/O Analog Module series is made to give a strong and exact connection between analog signals and digital controls.
This series connects 14- or 16-bit analog input signals and provides a scalable +/-10V analog output signal by using an A/D converter that takes samples of each channel in order. Each module type is made for use in hard industrial places, giving dependable analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog changes for lots of uses. The input types take a voltage in a 5V or 10V range with 14-bit resolution and give separate voltage or current inputs. The shielded connections protect signal strength and lower noise, which makes the whole system more dependable, and for setting up signals, there is a range that can be chosen. To be sure things work right, the output side has clamping diodes and capacitors to run a non-resistive (inductive) signal up to +/- 10V. Every module has a current sense resistor inside for 0 to 20mA and 4 to 20mA devices, and a high impedance for a low 24V DC need. For signal outputs, a normal 24V power is needed to make the single-ended outputs, and connections inside are made for fast and easy shielded connections.
