The SAM Servo Amplifiers are AC servo amplifiers designed for use in PAM & SAM motion-control systems operating from 400 V or 480 V mains supplies.
The series was produced in three physical sizes, with model selection based on output current requirements while maintaining a largely common electrical and EasyBus connection structure across the range. Each amplifier uses a single-character 7-segment display along with dedicated LED indicators to show operating status, faults, I/O power condition, and the state of connected user inputs and outputs. Rotary address switches are built into the units so each amplifier can be assigned a unique node address on the EasyBus network. The series also supports integrated diagnostic handling for conditions such as EasyBus carrier failure, CRC communication faults, CPU self-test errors, and overload or short-circuit conditions at user outputs.
