The HVE03.2-W030N is a power supply unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HVE Power Supply Units series. The module converts three-phase 400 V AC mains into a stabilized DC bus for multiple Rexroth drive controllers and handles braking energy through the listed bleeder capacity. With a 30 kW rating, the supply forms the electrical backbone of medium-power automation cabinets that coordinate servo axes, spindles, and auxiliary loads in machine tools, handling systems, and packaging lines. As an integrated supply, it houses control electronics, a blower, and ballast resistors in one enclosure.
Its ballast section dissipates up to 1.5 kW continuously, allowing the drives to brake motors without relying on external resistors. For logic and relay circuits the unit delivers a control supply of 500 VA, while a separate low-voltage rail can source 300 W for encoder fans or I/O. Thermal management is handled by an internal air with built-in blower arrangement. On the power side the converter can furnish a DC-bus continuous power at 3 × 400 V is listed as 19 kW under steady load and reach 57 kW for 0.3 s to support rapid acceleration or synchronized moves across several axes.
For events longer than a burst but shorter than continuous duty, the supply maintains 38 kW on the bus for 30 s, matching typical index cycles in transfer lines. Even at maximum rated output the internal losses stay at only 355 W, which limits cabinet heating and keeps the 16 kg module within blower capacity. Design version 2 follows the original mechanical outline of the series for direct retrofit.
