The HVE01.2-W030 is a power supply unit that uses an input voltage of 3 x 380 … 480 V and has a frequency of 50/60 Hz. It should be put into operation at an ambient temperature of 5 to 45 degrees and the humidity should not exceed 95%. The storage and transport temperature is -30 to 85 degrees while the installation elevation ranges between 0 and 1000 meters above sea level. With an IP 10 degree of protection, the HVE01.2-W030 should be mounted in a control cabinet to protect against water penetration and access by hand.

It is intended to operate drive controllers under the DIAX04 family (HDD and HDS series). Some of the working modes of the HVE01.2-W030 include rectification of AC voltage, a generative operation to regenerate energy, and control voltage supply in case of mains failure. It shuts down motors with permanent magnets in the event of a fault in the drive electronics. The monitoring of the drive system is achieved via the monitoring functions. Only motors of a maximum continuous mechanical power of 60 kW are to be connected to this power supply unit. The main auxiliary components connected to this power supply unit are the DC bus choke GLD and capacitance module HZK.

The DC bus choke GLD is used to increase the usable DC bus power while the module HZK reduces heat loss and increases power in the event of power failure. The heat produced by the basic losses is to be carried off by an air conditioning unit. The cooling unit should have an air duct that carries the condensation from the HVE01.2-W030 to avoid damage to components.
