Product Description:
The HVE03.2-W030N/S200 power supply unit is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HVE Power Supply Units series. It connects three-phase mains lines to a shared DC bus for multiple servo drives, combining rectification, energy return, and braking control in one module. In automation cabinets, this unit stabilizes the bus voltage and eliminates the need for a separate braking resistor on each axis during coordinated motion. It is used where several axes accelerate and decelerate on a common power section in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment.
The supply can deliver a continuous output of 30 kW, which is the steady power available to the drives during normal operation. Short-term overloads are handled through a DC bus capability of 60 kW, allowing brief current surges without tripping. Regenerative braking energy is managed by an internal bleeder rated for 1.5 kW continuously, while a peak rating of 100 kW lets it absorb sudden energy spikes when several axes stop at the same time. This braking path helps keep DC bus voltage under control during rapid deceleration. Core conversion losses are limited to 175 W, which reduces enclosure heat, and internal air circulation with a built-in blower moves this heat through the IP10 housing so no external fan kit is required.
The DC link stores charge in a bus capacitor of 1.4 mF, supplying immediate current to inverters between mains cycles and smoothing voltage ripple. Auxiliary electronics such as control logic and contactors draw from a separate output that provides 300 W of control power. From power up, the unit charges the bus to operating level in 1.6 s, which helps reduce start-up delay, and during full load the mains side draws 46 A for cable sizing and protective device selection. Stored energy in the DC link also supports stable inverter operation during rapid load changes. The housing measures 498 mm × 150 mm × 308 mm and has a mass of 16 kg, so it fits standard 300 mm deep cabinets while keeping panel weight moderate.
