The HVE04.2-W075N belongs to the HVE Power Supply Units series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a power supply unit, it converts three-phase mains energy into a stabilized DC bus that feeds multiple drive controllers in automated machinery. Regenerated energy from braking axes can be absorbed and redistributed within the axis group instead of being wasted as heat. This unit is in the 04 series generation and is supplied as design version 2 with no additional design feature, so it fits standard supply-module roles in medium-to-high power drive systems.

The supply delivers a rated output of 75 kW to the DC link while reserving 500 VA for control electronics. Of that reserve, 300 W is available as active control-supply power for I/O or embedded controllers, which supports connected control circuits from the same module. Internal basic losses are limited to 175 W, and overall conversion loss is also described as 6 W per kW of DC-bus load. Heat is removed by internal air cooling with a built-in blower, so no external ducting is required. The enclosure has an IP10 rating, which means the unit is intended for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet, and operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without derating.

The energy management stage provides 2.5 kW of continuous bleeder capacity and can absorb up to 250 kWs of regenerated energy from decelerating axes, which helps protect the DC bus from overvoltage during braking events. Continuous power-loss dissipation does not exceed 625 W, and the unit is intended for ambient air up to 55 °C when ventilation is maintained. Allowed moisture reaches 25 g/m³ absolute humidity and 95% relative humidity in non-condensing conditions, making it suitable for enclosed industrial spaces with elevated humidity. With a transport mass of 28 kg, the module remains suitable for rigid cabinet mounting in industrial drive enclosures.
