Product Description:
The HVE03.2-W030N/S201 is a regulated DC power supply unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HVE Power Supply Units series. Within multi-axis drive systems, it converts three-phase mains energy into a stabilized DC bus that feeds interconnected servo inverters, allowing coordinated motion sequences and energy recirculation. This shared supply arrangement lets several axes operate from one DC link instead of requiring a separate rectifier stage for each inverter. Because the bus is regulated, connected inverters receive a more consistent DC supply during changing load conditions. Version 03 hardware with design level 2 supports use in current-generation Rexroth control racks while retaining a compact format for cabinet installation.
The unit has a rated output of 30 kW and draws up to 46 A from a 400 V mains supply while delivering 19 kW of continuous DC bus power. It can also cover short overload periods with 57 kW peak capability, 60 kW for 3 seconds, and 38 kW for 30 seconds. An internal bleeder resistor dissipates surplus energy with 1.5 kW of continuous capacity and 100 kW of short-term capacity, which helps prevent DC overvoltage during braking events. This energy handling reduces nuisance trips when several axes decelerate at the same time. The storage bank provides 1.4 mF of capacitance, and terminals allow an additional 10 mF when external capacitors are needed. Control circuits receive 300 W of auxiliary power, the apparent input at maximum load is 500 VA, and the basic loss power is 175 W.
Internal air cooling with a built-in blower removes heat and supports a DC bus charging time of 1.6 s after mains power is applied. The built-in cooling method avoids the need for a separate external fan assembly on the cabinet wall. The unit can absorb regenerated energy up to 100 kWs, directing excess energy into the bleeder path instead of back into the supply network. With a total weight of 16 kg, it is suitable for panel mounting without additional support. This layout fits machines that cycle power frequently and return braking energy to the common DC bus during deceleration.
