Intended for multi-axis drive packages, it converts three-phase mains power into a stabilized DC bus, while an internal air channel with a built-in blower handles the thermal load generated at its rated output. In a centralized drive system, this allows one supply section to support several connected servo axes from a common energy source. The unit also tolerates brief mains dips and works with external capacitors or regenerative components to keep servo drives energized during demanding motion cycles.
The supply’s continuous DC bus rating matches its nominal output at 75 kW, and momentary demands are handled by a peak capability of 225 kW and a short-time reserve of 150 kW. This operating range allows the unit to cover short acceleration periods that rise above the steady-state load. If mains power disappears for up to 10 ms, stored energy continues to feed the drives and helps prevent controller resets. Direct connection to the network requires protection with a 160 A fuse, and the X13 terminal can deliver up to 150 A while maintaining polarity through its two-pole format. Maximum mechanical shaft power drawn by the connected motors may reach 60 kW, allowing the supply to feed several medium-frame servomotors at the same time.
The built-in bleeder handles surplus energy, dissipating 270 kW in short bursts or 2.5 kW continuously, so braking currents do not overcharge the link capacitors. Up to 200 mF of external DC bus capacitance can be connected for additional energy storage, and the circuit can absorb 250 kWs of regenerated energy before the bleeder activates. Additional capacitance can help buffer transient demand and short regeneration events across multiple connected axes. Overvoltage margins are high, and X13 withstands line-to-negative potentials of 900 V DC. Mechanical connections are secured with 6 Nm torque on the X5 clamp, which helps keep the assembly firm during repeated acceleration and braking cycles.
