The AKT-DN-004-000 is a digital input module from Kollmorgen. The module features four input channels and no outputs. The terminals are capable of acquiring 24V binary control signals and transmitting them in an electrically isolated format to an automation unit of a higher level. The input signals of the terminals are of Type 1 and conform to IEC 61131-2 standards. The ’0‘signal voltage ranges between -3V and 5V while the ’1‘signal voltage varies between 15V and 30V. The device has a nominal voltage rating of 24VDC (-15% / +20%).  The bus terminals support a pluggable wiring mechanism. There are no addresses or configuration settings.

This input module weighs nearly 50g. It also encompasses an input filter with a 3ms time delay. The unit has an IP 20 protection rating. The device is intended for use in automation-related applications. The product can be mounted on DIN rails inside a control cabinet. The shock resistance of the module complies with EN 60068-2-27/29 specifications. The ideal temperature to use the unit is between0°C and50°C.
