Manufactured by Kollmorgen Automation, the AKT-AT-810-000 is an 8-channel analog output terminal. Classified under the I/O series, the unit generates signals in a range between 0 volts to 10 Volts. The terminals combine up to 8 channels in a single housing and it is particularly suitable for space saving installations in the control cabinets. Using a single conductor connection technology, the unit achieves connection of multiple channel actuator technology. It is built ensure minimum space requirements while the bus terminal features common ground potential. The current consumption from the power contacts is rated as 20 mA (24 Volts), while the current consumption from the standard-Bus is 20 mA (5Volts).

To provide ease of operation status monitoring and aid in troubleshooting, the AKT-AT-810-000 comes with up to eight Green Run LEDs. The AKT-AT-810-000 features the power contact labeled as PE. The PE power contact can be used as the protective earth. To ensure safety reasons, the contact mates first when plugging together and can be ground short-circuit currents of up to 125 amps. The AKT-AT-810-000 PE contacts are capacitatively coupled to the mounting rail for the electromagnetic compatibility reasons. Note that electromagnetic may result in incorrect results during component installation testing or even worse, component damage.

The AKT-AT-810-000 supports automated configuration using the KAS integrated Development Environment. To ensure ease of use, the KAS IDE scan Device feature provides automated integration of the I/O devices. The installer can automatically locate and add the I/O terminals to the application project. The AKT-AT-810-000 also supports the manual configuration. However, the manufacturer recommends the use of automated KAS IDE for unit configuration.
