The Junus Motor Controllers series is a family of digital servo amplifiers developed for DC brush motors, combining torque-mode and velocity-mode control in a compact panel-mount format.
The series supports operation from DC power supplies up to 90 VDC or 180 VDC depending on model, with available output ratings reaching 15 Adc continuous and 30 Adc peak. Its control architecture uses high-frequency current and velocity loops, analog or PWM command inputs, and sensorless velocity regulation based on motor back-EMF, allowing the amplifier to respond to changing load conditions without a dedicated feedback device. For machine integration, the series includes RS-232 communication for setup, programmable digital inputs and output, configurable fault and enable logic, and software-based tuning through the associated commissioning tools. The Junus line is also designed for industrial installation with built-in protective functions for overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, and short circuits, along with optional heatsink and forced-air cooling arrangements for higher continuous power operation.
