Bantam M-Axis Controllers

The Bantam M-Axis Controllers series is a family of compact, DC-powered multi-axis motion modules offered in three-axis and four-axis versions for coordinated control of servo and stepper motors.

Depending on the model, the series communicates through EtherCAT or CANopen, with RS-232 support available for commissioning, firmware updates, and storing configurations in flash memory. The platform supports a broad set of motion functions, including cyclic synchronous control, profile position, velocity, and torque modes, interpolated positioning, homing, camming, gearing, and indexed point-to-point moves. Across the range, the modules provide high-speed digital I/O, programmable auxiliary interfaces such as SPI or SLI, optional analog command inputs on certain versions, and feedback support that can include incremental encoders, absolute encoders, Sin/Cos inputs, and digital Hall signals. The series also uses an auxiliary keep-alive supply so communication and position information can be maintained when the power stage is shut down, making it well suited for compact multi-axis machine designs that need dense integration and flexible motion control.
