Product Description:
The BTM-090-10 DC analog current amplifier is a compact and high performance solution designed for precision motor control applications. The model is manufactured to meet the needs of industrial automation. It provides reliable operation and robust feedback features for brushless motor commutation.
This Copley Controls Bantam M-Axis series current amplifier utilizes a 3 phase MOSFET configuration operating at a 33 kHz PWM frequency for efficient power delivery. It supports trapezoidal commutation with digital Hall feedback to offer non isolated feedback through three digital Hall sensors. These sensors are equipped with a 10 k pull-up resistor to + 5 V DC and a 33 µs RC filter for compatibility with a 74HC14 Schmitt trigger. Short circuit protection covers output to output and output to ground scenarios to ensure durability. Programmable I²T current limiting enables continuous and peak current control that enhance motor performance and safety. Digital outputs include three N-channel MOSFETs with one configured for amplifier status (Amp OK), one for external regenerative control and another for braking. These outputs operate at 30 V DC and 100 mA while the brake control output can handle up to 1000 mA.
The BTM-090-10 DC analog current amplifier measures 2.1 inch x 1.8 inch x 0.6 inch (53.3 mm x 45.7 mm x 15.2 mm) and weighs only 0.082 lb (37 g). It weighs 0.113 lb (51 g) and includes a heatsink for thermal management. A power supply of + 5 V DC at 250 mA is provided for Hall sensors and encoders. The device is suitable for high precision and reliable motor control applications across various industrial environments. Wake Industrial has this DC amplifier in stock with a replacement warranty.
