The Bosch Servodyn SD Magnet Motors are permanent-magnet brushless servo motors designed for inverter operation with electronic commutation in position and velocity-controlled drive systems.
The series uses ferrite magnets and a brushless tachometer with an integrated commutation sensor, giving the motors maintenance-free operation, strong synchronization behavior, and a constant-torque characteristic across the speed range. The lineup spans multiple frame sizes with rated speed classes from 1000 to 3000 rpm and standstill torque values that extend to approximately 48.6 Nm on the larger models. For machine integration, the motors use IEC flange mounting, offer options such as holding brake, keyway shaft, second shaft end, vibration-quality selection, and preparation for an incremental encoder, and they can also be supplied in a version with a built-in ROD 426 encoder. The construction is fully sealed for a high protection standard, uses insulation class F, includes winding thermistor protection, and supports natural-convection cooling with blower-assisted cooling available on larger versions.
