The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW is a digital controller with a basic control section. It has a modular design that operators can match to application requirements. The controller has several integrated features. In addition, a few optional hardware modules also installed on the controller. Integrated features on the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW include Multi-Ethernet communication and a multi-encoder interface. Optional modules on the controller support encoder emulation and safe motion. Multi-Ethernet allows establishment of multiple links over the same physical interface. The multi-encoder interface allows controller use with a wide range for motor encoders. Encoder emulation allows operators to test different functions without requiring actual encoders. Safe motion is a safety feature for Bosch controllers. Bosch also offers other safety option that operators can specify at the time of ordering. The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW has an IP20 rated housing.
This type of housing provides protection against solids with 12 millimeter dimensions. The housing does not provide protection against liquid or moisture ingress.
