The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is a compact drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat that belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a drive-mounted control unit, it regulates torque and speed for servo and induction motors on automated production lines, packaging machines, and material-handling axes. Within an IndraDrive system, it occupies the power section while a paired control section handles motion logic, making the unit a central element for closed-loop motor control, DC-bus energy exchange, and networked diagnostics.
The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing it to operate on a wide range of industrial power systems without tap changers. A device peak output of 54 A supports rapid acceleration currents before the thermal model limits conduction time. Cooling air is moved through an integrated blower by internal air cooling, which keeps the heat inside the cabinet rather than expelling it into the room. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so it must be mounted in an enclosure and protects against accidental finger contact. Communication is provided by MultiEthernet, which supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT on one port. For feedback, Interface 1 supports Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 connections, allowing the drive to read absolute position data at power-up. The power section can both receive and return energy to a common DC bus, which reduces resistor losses during braking.
Functional safety is integrated through STO and SBC, and these channels disconnect torque and release the motor brake without relying on contactors. The paired control board uses the BASIC design and supports standard PLCopen motion commands. The unit uses design version 1. The secondary communication slot is not equipped, leaving space for an optional card.
