Product Description:

The Beckhoff Embedded PC CX Series model CX5130-0125 is a durable and productive industrial computer device.

With a two-core design and a clock frequency of up to 1.75 GHz, the Intel Atom® E3827 processor powers the subject, guaranteeing the excellent efficiency and stability needed for a range of industrial tasks. This specific SBC provides ample memory for everyday work thanks to its 4 GB of soldered DDR3 RAM that cannot be expanded. Although the cards are not included in the bundle, the CX5130-0125 also features expandable storage with a CFast card port and a microSD card slot. Two RJ45 ports for 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet, one DVI-I for video, and four USB 2.0 for additional devices make it simpler to stay connected. To expand its functionality, an optional interface can also be added. Passively cooling the gadget reduces noise emissions and the quantity of potentially failing parts. The system has LEDs for power, TC status, flash access, and bus status allowing simple diagnostics that make it easy to find issues and their fixes. To maintain precise times and dates as needed by the program, the embedded PC contains a built-in clock and calendar that is powered by a battery.

The operating systems that enable the device to be used in a variety of software contexts include TwinCAT/BSD, Windows Embedded Compact 7, and several iterations of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise. To make installation easier, I/O connections can be made via K-bus or E-bus with auto-detection. The unit's energy-saving performance is demonstrated by its 24V DC power supply voltage with a -15% to +20% fluctuation allowance and its 14W maximum power consumption. This product is insured by a one-year warranty from Wake Industrial.

Symptom / LED pattern Likely Cause (what it means) Recommended Corrective Action
PWR LED off (dark) 24 V DC not present or below tolerance; controller isn’t powered Verify cabinet supply is 24 V DC (-15 % / +20 %), check fuse & terminals, then repower the CX.
TC LED yellow TwinCAT runtime exception / PLC crash Open TwinCAT on engineering PC, read error list, correct program or field-bus mapping, return state to Run.
HDD LED stays red right after boot CFast or µSD card missing, not mounted or file system corrupt Re-seat card, run disk check from maintenance PC; replace card if red LED persists.
K-BUS ERR LED – continuous rapid flashing EMC disturbance or unstable power Check 24 V line for transients/brown-outs, add ferrites or filters, power-cycle the CX after corrections.
K-BUS ERR LED – 3 slow pulses K-bus command error (no Bus Terminal or defective one) Insert first terminal or halve the terminal chain to isolate and replace the faulty unit.
K-BUS ERR LED – 4 pulses / arg 0 Break directly after the power-supply terminal Ensure the Bus End Terminal 9010 is present and seated; inspect wiring.
K-BUS ERR LED – 4 pulses / arg n Line break after Bus Terminal n Check wiring between terminals n and n + 1; replace damaged parts.
K-BUS ERR LED – 5 pulses / arg n Register communication error with Bus Terminal n Replace the terminal at position n; reboot controller.
K-BUS ERR LED – 6 pulses (0/1/8) Initialization or internal data error in the CX Perform a full power-cycle; if error reoccurs, reflash firmware or replace CPU module.
System clock loses date/time on every boot Coin-cell battery in RTC exhausted Replace 3 V lithium cell behind the front flap, then set correct date/time in BIOS.
