The CX5130-0122 is an embedded PC controller produced by Beckhoff for the CX Embedded PC Systems series. Designed for DIN-rail mounting alongside EtherCAT or K-bus terminals, it runs the TwinCAT 2 NC PTP runtime so motion, logic, and HMI tasks execute on the same hardware platform. This compact computer replaces separate PLCs and industrial PCs in automated cells, offering deterministic axis positioning and centralized fieldbus communication in a single 24 V environment.

The controller uses an Intel Atom E3827 dual-core CPU clocked at 1.75 GHz; the two cores support multitasking for real-time logic and visualization threads. System performance is backed by 4 GB DDR3-RAM, allowing large PLC projects and cam tables to reside entirely in memory. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports, specified as 2 × RJ45, 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, enable segregation of machine and enterprise networks or redundant ring topologies.
