Powering the Beckhoff Embedded PC CX Series, model CX5130-0162, is an extremely efficient Intel Atom® E3827 dual-core CPU with a 1.75 GHz processing speed. This setup offers the processing capacity required for several industrial uses.
The user can select the type and size of storage that best suits their needs owing to the expansion of storage via two card slots for Cfast and microSD cards. This device supports a range of operating systems, including Windows Embedded Compact 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7 P, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise editions of 2016 LTSB, 2019 LTSC, and 2021 LTSC, and TwinCAT/BSD. It also comes with a built-in 4 GB of DDR3 RAM that cannot be increased. The CX5130-0162 depicts four USB 2.0 ports for peripheral connectivity, one DVI-I port for visual output, and two Ethernet ports with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data transfer rates to solve the connectivity problem. To provide even more flexibility, an extra optional interface can be added to suit the demands of the user. Because of its passive cooling, the system is more dependable and durable due to less mechanical stress and fewer maintenance requirements. To make system management simple, it contains robust diagnostic features, such as LEDs for power status, TC status, flash access, and bus status. There is an internal battery with a backup clock that is used to track the date and time when time is of importance. The backup battery is changeable.
E-bus or K-bus can be used to link the CX5130-0162's I/O, and the system will automatically determine which is being used to simplify configuration. With a range of -15% to +20%, it is powered by a 24 V DC source. To ensure effective power usage even in the most demanding processes, the system uses a maximum of 14 watts during regular operation and 20 watts when the integrated UPS is being loaded.
