The B&R 4MP Mobile Panels series is a family of handheld operator panels designed for mobile machine operation, monitoring, and commissioning tasks, with versions in the Mobile Panel 100 and 200 groups.
The series includes operating units with 5.7-inch and 8.4-inch display options, touch input, foil keypad configurations, and integrated safety-related operator elements such as E-stop equipment and enabling switches depending on the handle and device configuration. These panels are built to work with attachment cables, switching cabinet cables, wall mounts, strapping plugs, and connection boxes, and they support communication interfaces including power, serial, Ethernet, and CAN connections. The platform was also designed to support multiple software environments, including BIOS-based operation, Automation Runtime, Windows CE, and Windows XP Embedded, which allows the panels to be used for visualization, thin-client tasks, and direct machine interaction. The 4MP series is aimed at applications where operators need a portable HMI with integrated control and safety functions that can be connected, stored, and serviced as part of a larger automation system.
