OC950 Option Cards

The OC950 Option Cards series consists of programmable option cards that install into a Pacific Scientific SC900 servo drive to create an SC950 system with stand-alone, single-axis programmable positioning capability.

The combined SC950 retains the SC900 platform’s compact drive format and its onboard resources, including discrete I/O, analog I/O, encoder input/output, and high-speed registration inputs. OC950 cards add a larger bank of bi-directional discrete I/O and provide serial communications that can be used as RS-232 for a single axis or as RS-485/RS-422 for multi-drop, multi-axis installations with address selection via onboard switches. Program storage is provided by battery-backed nonvolatile memory, and optional hardware variants add a PacLAN network interface for clustered drive communications, with an enhanced option set that includes functions such as MODBUS and camming support. Commissioning and programming are intended to be done through the 950IDE PC environment over the serial connection, and the card can interface to Opto 22 industrial I/O racks through an adapter module for expanded field I/O.
