Product Description:
The SCIR03260 servo drive is manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied under the SC Servostar Servo Drives series. It is designed to interface between a motion controller and a brushless servomotor, regulating phase current and processing resolver feedback so automated machinery can execute accurate speed and position commands on production lines. The compact unit incorporates power electronics, signal conditioning, and safety monitoring in a panel-mount housing, making it suitable for packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and light material-handling axes.
Inside the drive, a single control channel manages 1 axis and supplies up to 3 A of continuous motor current, which is the thermal limit of its output stage. Logic circuits are energized by 24 VDC, isolating the control electronics from the higher-voltage motor bus. Position resolution reaches 65,636 counts/rev when used with the built-in resolver interface, giving the controller fine incremental data for tight loop gains. The resolver connects through the C2 feedback port, while the signal wiring is clamped by screws tightened to 0.25 Nm to prevent intermittent contact during vibration. Cabinet layouts must provide 12.7 mm of side clearance and accommodate the overall width of 110 mm and depth of 163 mm so forced-air cooling remains unobstructed.
The drive must be installed vertically, and the chassis is secured to the mounting plate with screws tightened to 2.26 Nm so the heat sink maintains flat contact. Field power leads terminate at connections with screws tightened to 1.35 Nm, maintaining a secure current path without conductor movement. With a height of 256 mm, the enclosure fits midsize control cabinets while leaving room for adjacent components and cable routing. Its mass of 2.12 kg reduces the load placed on the cabinet mounting plate. A clearance of 63.5 mm is required at both the top and bottom to maintain upward airflow across the cooling fins and protect temperature-sensitive components.
