Product Description:

The Kollmorgen AKD series drives brought unprecedented improvements on motion systems used on the industrial floor. These drives allowed synchronous servo motors to be controlled more accurately at a constant speed without huge deviations. When used with a single-phase AC motor, a closed-loop control enables the motor to deliver a higher performance and be more efficient. With an international protection rating of IP 20, AKD drives are designed to be operated in an environment with small solid objects the size of a human finger and away from liquids. This protection rating requires the drives to be mounted inside a control cabinet that can withstand dust and water splashes from all directions.

The Kollmorgen AKD-B00606-NAAN-0000 is a servo drive in the AKD series. Drives in this series have electrostatically sensitive components requiring earthing and proper handling to minimize damage to these components. The AKD-B00606-NAAN-0000 supports the use of the Kollmorgen WorkBench setup software which allows drive parameters to be altered and or saved. To save time, the software can be used to set or alter parameters when the drive is still running.

With the use of parameters, the AKD-B00606-NAAN-0000 can be interfaced with a wide range of synchronous motors on the industrial floor. This eliminates the need for a new drive each time a motor is replaced. The AKD-B00606-NAAN-0000 has a built-in fan to provide the much-needed cooling. For optimal operation, the drive should be mounted vertically, in an environment with level 2 pollution, and an altitude not exceeding 1000 meters. Note that operating the drive at an altitude higher than 1000 meters causes power derating at a rate of 1.5 percent per every 100 meters.
