The 134L0804 refrigeration drive is manufactured by Danfoss and supplied within the VLT FC 103 Refrigeration Drives series. This AC inverter is installed between a three-phase mains supply and a compressor or fan motor to provide continuously variable speed. By matching motor torque to cooling demand, it supports energy-efficient operation and stable process temperatures in automated cold-storage facilities, food production plants, and pharmaceutical climate systems. Its control functions allow connected refrigeration equipment to respond to changing thermal loads instead of operating continuously at full speed.
The rated output power is 3.0 kW, which is equivalent to 4.0 HP and is suitable for mid-capacity refrigeration compressors. The power stage accepts an input of 380–480 VAC from a three-phase supply. Its internal DC link does not include a brake chopper. The drive uses an IP55/Type 12 housing with a backplate, providing protection against dust and water jets when the unit is installed correctly. Mechanical wiring access uses Adaptation A with metric-thread cable entries, while Adaptation B retains the standard layout. The drive does not include B, D, C0, C1, or mains option modules. Its printed circuit boards are uncoated, so the installation should prevent condensation and exposure to corrosive airborne contaminants.
Fieldbus connectivity is provided by the slot-A AK-LonWorks MCA 107 card, giving the drive direct access to distributed refrigeration controllers. Local operation is handled through the graphical local control panel, which provides status information, parameter access, and command functions at the drive. Text prompts and menu information use the factory-installed Standard Language Pack. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the integrated Class A1/B RFI filter, supporting use on typical industrial power feeders without an additional line filter. The standard FC 103 control software manages refrigeration functions, motor regulation, alarms, and operating sequences. No application-specific software extension is preloaded in the C option software field.
