Product Description

Beckhoff is a leader in manufacturing and developing automation systems that are based on PC Control technology. Their line of products includes drive technology, bus terminals, EtherCAT Junctions and Fieldbus components. The EK1122 is one EtherCAT Junctions manufactured by Beckhoff.

The EK1122 is characterized by its efficiency, reliably and simplicity. This EtherCAT junction uses Ethernet 100Base-TX (min. CAT5) as the transmission medium and has two RJ45 bus connections. The EK1122 has a power supply from E-bus and with a current consumption of 220 mA. It wights approximately 70 g with a dimension of 26 mm x 100 mm x 52 mm (W x H x D). The EK1122 can be operated in an ambient temperature ranging from -25˚C to 85˚C with a permissible relative humidity of 95% (no condensation). The EK1122 can be connected in different topologies such as star, line and tree. When EtherCAT cabling on this equipment, Beckhoff recommends that cable length between the two devices must not exceed 100 m.

The EK1122 has a vibration resistance that conforms to EN 60068-2-6 with an EMC immunity that conforms to EN 61000-6-2. This EtherCAT junction has an IP20 protection class. It must be protected to exposure against dust or water. For better protection against dust, use blind plugs in unused connection sockets. The EK1122 can be installed in any position. The terminal modules of this EtherCAT junction can be fastened to the assembly surface with 35 mm mounting rail such as a TH 35-15 mounting rail. It has three LEDs for different diagnostics. One LED is for Fieldbus diagnostics and the other two are for Link/Act (X1/X2).
