The EK1110-0043 EtherCAT coupler is built by Beckhoff Automation to improve EtherCAT communication in automation systems featuring the CX series and EtherCAT terminals. It connects these accessories to an EtherCAT module. This coupling function facilitates quick communication through the automation system, allowing for more efficient operation. The EK1110-0043 coupler does not have its own power supply unit; instead, it is supported by the power supply unit of the embedded PC. The data transfer medium of this unit is the PCB tracks present on the signal distribution board, and a transfer rate of about 100 megabits per second can be maintained through this medium. There are diagnostic LEDS present on this coupler; these are intended to help the operator determine the power supply. The delivery of this product is done in a cardboard package that is recyclable after the product has been delivered.
