Product Description:

8V1320.00-2 is an AC servo drive. It is designed by B & R Automation for motor control applications. Accessories included in the delivery are shielding component sets and terminal sets. Optional accessories operators can order if required include braking resistors, plug in modules for CAN, Powerlink, EnDAT encoder, I/O modules, and more. The servo drive has a modular design with four slots for optional modules. Depending on application requirements, operators can order needed optional modules and install in the field. The drive comes with an internal line filter. This filter removes unwanted noise and interference from the AC input supply. The drive is certified by multiple standards bodies, including CE, UL, KC and UKCA. It supports 400 to 480 Volts AC line voltage (3-phase) and its current and power ratings are 34 Amps and 16 kilowatts.

The supported line frequency is 50 and 60 Hertz. Maximum load the drive can handle is 30 kVA. The inrush current at 400 Volts AC is 13 Amps and the switch-on interval is greater than 10 seconds. Without a braking resistor, the power dissipation at nominal power output is 800 Watts. The 8V1320.00-2 drive has one motor connection with 34 Amps rated current and 80 Amps peak current. Nominal switching frequency for the unit is 10 kilohertz. Operators can also configure it for 5 and 20 kilohertz switching frequencies. The motor line can have a maximum length of 25 meters. Peak output frequency to the motor is 598 Hertz. The 8V1320.00-2 can deliver 1.5 Amps current to the motor holding brake. The drive unit has 3 limit switches and reference inputs. This IP20 rated drive weighs approximately 10.6 kilograms.

Error / diagnostic code What it means Corrective action
29207 Movement type not allowed PLC-open axis state (e.g., StandStill) blocks the requested motion Issue AxisStop, wait until the axis reports StandStill or Homing, then re-issue the command; verify state-machine sequencing in Automation Studio
29216 Continuous movement not possible A prior axis fault forced the drive to abort a CV move Clear upstream errors, confirm the enable chain is stable, and re-trigger the motion block once Ready
6021 Enable signal unstable +24 V “Drive Enable” input is sagging or chattering Tighten X1 terminals, load-test the 24 V supply, replace noisy relays or cables
29203 Axis not ready to power-on STO inputs or other prerequisites are open (ReadyToPowerOn = FALSE) Close both STO channels, reset the safety relay / E-stop, then issue PowerOn again
41075 Continuous power > 95 % Drive is operating near its thermal rating Reduce mechanical load or ambient temp, improve panel airflow, or step up to a higher-power frame
9075 Load power > 100 % Over-load warning (drive still active) Check for binding, inertia mismatch, or aggressive accel/decel ramps; trend LOAD_POWER to confirm
9076 Load power > 115 % Over-load trip; PWM disabled to protect IGBTs Same checks as 9075; allow heat-sink cool-down before reset; consider upsizing the drive
6052 Power stage: high-side over-current A phase transistor detected an over-current spike Inspect motor leads for shorts, measure dV/dt, retune the current loop; fit a dv/dt choke if recurring
6055 Holding-brake low voltage Drive cannot energise the motor brake to nominal level Measure brake-supply output, clean relay contacts, lengthen brake-release delay in parameters
6060 Limit speed exceeded Electrical output frequency > 598 Hz for > 0.5 s Lower the speed command or pole-pair setting, confirm feedback scaling, then re-test
