Product Description:

8V1320.001-2 is an AC servo drive from B & R Automation’s ACOPOS product line. The drive has a modular design: slots allow installation of plug in modules. A built-in line filter protects the drive from surges, interference, and other anomalies in the AC power supply. The drive can be used with an integrated or optional braking resistor. The coated circuit boards are more robust against environmental contaminants. Input rating of the 8V1320.001-2 drive is 400 to 480 Volts AC. Its continuous output current is 34 Amps and the power output is 16 kilowatts. A DC bus power supply is available as well as an electronic safe start interlock. Width of the drive is 200 millimeters, its height is 375 millimeters, and its depth is 234 millimeters. Weight of the drive unit is approximately 10.6 kilograms.

With an IP20 rated housing, the drive is primarily designed for indoor use. B & R does not permit its installation in the standing horizontal orientation. The drive can hang vertically or be placed on a horizontal surface while facing upwards. Electrical properties include 3.1 microfarads discharge capacitance and 31.8 Watts standby mode power losses. Specifications for the braking resistor include 14 kilowatts power rating for an internal unit and 40 kilowatts power rating for an external unit. If the connected motor features a holding brake, the drive can deliver 1.5 Amps current and support unlimited switching cycles. Allowed switching frequencies for motor operation include 5 / 10 / 20 kHz. The line connecting the motor and the 8V1320.001-2 drive can be up to 25 meters in length. Power dissipated by the drive during nominal operation is approximately 800 Watts.
