Product Description:

B&R Automation manufactures the 8B0C0320HW00.000-1 power supply module within its 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series. The device feeds the common DC link that interconnects multiple ACOPOS Multi servo inverters, allowing regenerative energy exchange and consolidated mains filtering in industrial automation cells. By stabilizing the shared bus voltage, it ensures that each connected axis controller receives consistent power for precise motion tasks such as packaging, printing, or pick-and-place sequencing. The module is installed inside the machine control cabinet and ties directly to the drive stack.

In normal operation, the supply can deliver up to 32 A of continuous DC bus current, permitting several servo amplifiers to accelerate simultaneously without undervoltage trips. An auxiliary internal logic rail of 24 VDC powers the unit’s own monitoring circuitry as well as external status contacts. Mechanical integration is simplified by its wall mounting design, which aligns cooling surfaces flush against the cabinet backplate. Control and status lines terminate on the X1 connector, which provides 6 pins; two of these conduct the supply-OK signal that is duplicated by a front-panel indicator which glows green whenever the DC bus reaches nominal level.

The remaining X1 contacts carry diagnostic information. The Com output labeled DC Bus Ready 0 V references the common return, while the Cr Ok line goes high when the bus voltage reaches its validation threshold. An overload condition triggers a dedicated LED that illuminates red, giving immediate visual feedback before protective shutdown occurs. For wiring clarity, the Com pair occupies pins 3, 4, the Cr Ok pair is routed to pins 5 and 6, and the unused positions 1 and 2 are reserved to maintain connector keying and insulation distances.

B&R error ID What it means Quick corrective action
29207 Movement type not allowed – the PLC-open axis state blocks the requested command Bring the axis back to StandStill or Homing, clear the error and re-issue the motion block
6021 Enable signal unstable – +24 V “Drive Enable” line is sagging or chattering Tighten the X1 enable/COM terminals and load-test the upstream 24 V PSU
6058 ENABLE 1 voltage sag – transient dip detected on the controller-enable input Inspect the wiring run for voltage drop; add ferrules or a local bulk-cap if needed
6052 Power stage high-side over-current – IGBT phase U/V/W sensed a surge Meg-ohm test motor leads and check for pinched insulation or coolant ingress
6055 Holding-brake low voltage – coil can’t reach pull-in threshold Measure brake supply on the back-plane; bump wire gauge or shorten the drop
6060 Limit speed exceeded – electrical output > 598 Hz for > 0.5 s Lower speed command or verify the pole-pair count/encoder scaling
7210 DC-bus charge voltage unstable – pre-charge could not reach a stable value Check mains phases, bleeder resistor and DC-link contacts; replace relay if welded
9075 Continuous load power > 100 % – module arrests motion Look for mechanical binding and confirm the 8B0C module is sized ≥ load power
9076 Load power > 115 % (trip) – hardware shutdown to protect itself Same checks as 9075; allow cool-down before reset and consider paralleling supplies
41075 Continuous power > 95 % (warning) – early overload indicator Trend the LOAD_POWER axis parameter and schedule a larger or additional 8B0C supply if persistent

Error code Meaning
29207 Movement type not allowed – requested motion is illegal in the current PLC-open axis state
29216 Continuous movement not possible – a previous axis fault aborted the commanded continuous move
6021 Enable signal unstable – controller-enable input is below the permissible 24 V level or chattering
6058 ENABLE 1 voltage sag – transient dip detected on the ENABLE 1 line while the axis is active
6052 Power stage high-side over-current – a phase transistor sensed an over-current event
6055 Holding-brake low voltage – brake-coil supply cannot reach the required pull-in level
6060 Limit speed exceeded – electrical output frequency surpassed the 598 Hz safety limit
9075 Load power > 100 % – continuous overload warning from the module power monitor
