B&R Automation manufactures the 8B0C0320HW00.000-1 power supply module within its 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series. The device feeds the common DC link that interconnects multiple ACOPOS Multi servo inverters, allowing regenerative energy exchange and consolidated mains filtering in industrial automation cells. By stabilizing the shared bus voltage, it ensures that each connected axis controller receives consistent power for precise motion tasks such as packaging, printing, or pick-and-place sequencing. The module is installed inside the machine control cabinet and ties directly to the drive stack.
In normal operation, the supply can deliver up to 32 A of continuous DC bus current, permitting several servo amplifiers to accelerate simultaneously without undervoltage trips. An auxiliary internal logic rail of 24 VDC powers the unit’s own monitoring circuitry as well as external status contacts. Mechanical integration is simplified by its wall mounting design, which aligns cooling surfaces flush against the cabinet backplate. Control and status lines terminate on the X1 connector, which provides 6 pins; two of these conduct the supply-OK signal that is duplicated by a front-panel indicator which glows green whenever the DC bus reaches nominal level.
The remaining X1 contacts carry diagnostic information. The Com output labeled DC Bus Ready 0 V references the common return, while the Cr Ok line goes high when the bus voltage reaches its validation threshold. An overload condition triggers a dedicated LED that illuminates red, giving immediate visual feedback before protective shutdown occurs. For wiring clarity, the Com pair occupies pins 3, 4, the Cr Ok pair is routed to pins 5 and 6, and the unused positions 1 and 2 are reserved to maintain connector keying and insulation distances.
