The 8B0C0160HC00.001-1 is a dedicated DC-bus power supply module manufactured by B & R Automation within the 8B0 ACOPOS Multi Power Supplies series. It mounts beside inverter units and provides the 24 V control voltage that keeps drive logic, sensors, and safety relays active when mains power fluctuates. In industrial automation lines the module stabilizes auxiliary loads so that motion controllers can store position data and bring axes to a controlled stop instead of performing an uncontrolled power loss shutdown.
The module sources a continuous 24 V rail rated at 16 ADC and can furnish up to 400 W of auxiliary power to downstream devices. A separate internal converter delivers 25 VDC within ±1.6 % for its own logic circuits and diagnostic LEDs. Output regulation remains within ±6 % of 24 V across the 315–800 VDC link. A 220 nF capacitor is connected across the bus to damp high-frequency ripple, and the nominal bus voltage of 750 VDC matches the operating point of high-power servo inverters. Short bursts of regenerative energy are accommodated by an internal peak path that tolerates 21 ADC, while the feedback protection circuit clamps excess voltage at 35 VDC. Galvanic separation to the mounting plate withstands ±50 VDC, and the device is rated for overvoltage category III installations.
The supply’s consumption peaks at 445 W during simultaneous bus charging and control loading, and reliable service is specified up to an ambient of 55 °C. An enclosure rating of IP20 confines the unit to closed control cabinets, yet its compact 53 mm width and 317 mm height allow high-density stacking without blocking airflow.
