B & R Automation manufactures the 8BVP0440HW00.000-1 as part of the 8BVP ACOPOS Power Supplies series. This cabinet-mounted module converts three-phase line power into a regulated DC bus for clustered ACOPOS servo inverters used throughout industrial automation cells. The supply also returns excess kinetic energy from decelerating axes to the mains so that individual drives do not need separate braking hardware, which simplifies installation and reduces heat inside the enclosure.
The supply can deliver a continuous output of 44 A, which provides capacity for multiple drives operating at the same time. A DC-link reservoir rated at 5.8 mF smooths voltage ripple and supports short bursts of peak current without sag. During power-up, the circuitry tolerates an inrush of 67 A. The module may feed motor inverters whose combined demand rises to 31.1 kW, and its electronics remain functional up to an ambient temperature of 55 °C. This allows installation in tightly packed control enclosures near other heat-producing equipment.
