Product Description:
B & R Automation manufactures the 8BVP0220HW00.000-1 as part of the 8BVP ACOPOS Power Supplies series. This cabinet-mounted DC bus supply converts three-phase mains power into the central energy source for ACOPOS servo drives and related automation hardware inside a control cabinet. By combining the main rectifier stage with a low-voltage standby supply, it keeps the shared DC link available for coordinated motion tasks while also supporting control functions that remain active during startup, standby, and normal machine operation.
The power stage provides a nominal DC rail of 750 VDC, and the internal storage bank is rated at 495 µF to steady the bus during changing load demand. Continuous output reaches 15 kW, while short-term peak output rises to 37.5 kW, allowing connected axes to accelerate quickly during dynamic machine cycles. A line-side limiter restricts inrush current to 67 A when the unit is connected to a 400 VAC supply. The housing measures 106.5 mm in width, 263 mm in depth, and 317 mm in height, which supports row installation beside ACOPOS inverter modules in a cabinet. During continuous operation, the filter fan draws 4.2 A to help maintain internal component temperature.
The common rail can support up to 15.6 kW without derating, and an internal converter switching at 5 kHz helps reduce current ripple on the DC link. Control electronics remain powered through a 25 VDC ±1.6% auxiliary input, while a 24 VDC enable signal starts the charging sequence. When axes are idle, standby losses are limited to 10.8 W, which helps reduce heat generation during low-activity periods. Two plug-in module slots accept brake choppers or communication options without requiring separate external modules for those functions. Recessed live parts give the assembly an IP20 protection rating, so it is intended for installation inside a closed, ventilated enclosure.
