The CX8093 is an Embedded PC for PROFINET. It is manufactured by Beckhoff Company. The E/K-bus terminals can be connected. The control system automatically detects which type of terminal is connected during the start-up phase. It is programmed by the TwinCAT via the fieldbus interface or Ethernet interface. It is programmed according to the IEC 61131-3 standard to ensure high performance. The Ethernet interface can be used to connect the CX8093 with a regular network. Microsoft Windows CE is used as the operating system for this control system. Like other CX embedded PCs, it comes with a capacitive 1-second UPS which provides adequate energy for saving persistent data in the event of power supply failure. The CX8093 features and ARM9 32bit, 400 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM internal main memory, and MicroSD card flash memory. It comes with a USB device, RJ45 Ethernet, and RJ45 switched interfaces. Ambient conditions include permissible operating and storage temperature of 0 to 55 degrees and -25 to 85 degrees respectively. It has a maximum power supply of 2A, 3W maximum power loss, and 24VDC power supply. The protection category of the CX8093 is IP 20. It should be installed in a control cabinet to protection class IP 54.

During mounting ensure the use of suitable cables if used in potentially explosive environments. It should be mounted on DIN rails in a horizontal orientation to ensure maximum airflow. A clearance of 30mm should be left above and below the CX8093. This Beckhoff control system should be operated by an expert in control and automation engineering. The CX8093 and the battery should be stored separately at temperatures above 70 degrees. Ensure that it is stored in its original packaging.
