The S600 series are known for their performance, quality, and durability. The S61001-550 is part of the S600 family of servo amplifiers. This amplifier has a voltage rating of 230-480V and a current rating of 10A arms. The S61001-550 has an AS option and comes with several safety features. Features include temperature monitoring, soft start, short-circuit protection and safe electrical separation between the power input and the motor connections. The S61001-550 is fully programmable via the RS232 interface and comes with Kollmorgen’s user-friendly software for setup via a serial interface. This servo amplifier has multiple digital controls such as digital speed controller, integral position controller and digital current controller.

The AS option in this amplifier is a restart lock, according to EN 954-1. The AS option enables the protection of equipment and components against restarting of the drive. This also results in no contact wear and the DC bus link remains charged since the main power lines remain active. It must be noted that the AS restart lock is intended to prevent system restart and can only be activated when the motor has come to a complete halt. The S61001-550 must be mounted in a vertical position. This servo amplifier has a built-in fan and when mounting, enough room for cooling must be left.
