The Rexroth IndraControl VEH handheld terminals are portable, PC-based operator and visualization devices built for operating, setup, parameterization, and diagnostics of Bosch Rexroth control systems over Ethernet TCP/IP, with versions that can also perform control functions depending on the application and configuration.
The series integrates safety operating elements for machine setup work, including a 2-circuit stop pushbutton and a 2-circuit, 3-stage enabling device that is wired through the VAC connection module so it can be incorporated into the machine safety circuit. VEH terminals use an 8.4" TFT touchscreen display and membrane/foil key input, with layouts that include function keys on both sides of the screen and (on VEH 30.2 variants) jog keys for up to six axes plus optional additions like a handwheel and override device. The handheld connects to the control cabinet through the VAC 30.x connection module using a 17-pin connector, with the VAC providing the fixed wiring interfaces (24 VDC supply, stop/enabling circuits, and Ethernet) and a connection concept intended to prevent unintended shutdown during connect/disconnect. For industrial durability, the housing is designed to be shock/vibration resistant and chemical/oil resistant, the system is specified for 24 VDC operation and an overall IP65 protection category, and the documentation outlines commissioning checks and periodic verification of the enabling device and stop function for safe operation.
