By combining a graphic display, configurable keys, and integrated safety elements, the terminal bridges the operator and the motion controller, allowing parameter entry, status feedback, and emergency intervention directly on the plant floor. This arrangement is useful when machine status must be checked at the point of operation rather than from a remote console.

Visual feedback is handled by an 8.4 in active-matrix screen that presents process data at 800 × 600 px and supports 262,144 colors. A 4 MB shared graphics buffer drives the panel without external video hardware, while the computing core is a fanless NS-Geode 300 MHz processor. Application code, the operating system, and recipes reside in 128 MB of nonvolatile flash, with an equal amount of SDRAM allocated for run-time variables.
