The FM Thermocouplers series consists of EtherCAT thermocouple input modules designed to connect thermocouple sensors directly for distributed industrial temperature measurement.
The series includes 12-channel and 32-channel versions that use 2-wire direct sensor connections and support Type K and Type J thermocouples over wide operating temperature ranges. Signal processing is handled with built-in linearization across the full measurement range, internal cold junction compensation at the terminal, and 0.1°C resolution for temperature values. The modules are built for industrial environments with IP65 protection, diagnostic LEDs, open-thermocouple detection, and protective functions for back voltage and input faults. Configuration is carried out through EtherCAT in TwinCAT, making the FM Thermocouplers series suitable for machine systems that need multi-channel temperature acquisition with integrated diagnostics and fieldbus communication.
