This module FM3312 is a representative thermocouple module of the FM Thermocoupler series developed to utilize accurate temperature measurements over EtherCAT fieldbus. It has 12 channels thermocouple inputs and can transmit data at a rate of 100 Mbit/s. This is a suitable module for industries where temperature control is essential and measurement error is remained below 0.5% of the full-scale reading This module FM3312 is a high-performance device for application with RS485 serial interface and is suitable for use in diagnostics and industrial temperature measurements.

In addition, this module supports the measurements with Type J thermocouples from -10°C to back Type J thermocouples even in more extreme weigh up to 900°C and it’s also capable of mV measurement. The measurement resolution of its basic thermometer is 0.1C with additional digits to show accurate temperatures. This module works with a conversion time of around 250 mines and therefore a quick refreshing of data is possible.

This module is small in size with a size of 120 mm x 52 mm x 129 mm making it possible to use even in those areas where space is a problem. The fieldbus accommodation consists of two M12 sockets (4 pin D coded interface) enabling EtherCAT IN and EtherCAT OUT connectivity with regards to the module. The thermocouple input connector uses a header jack with 2 wires featuring an industrial plug-in fastened to a Han 24E configuration. The length of cable extended should not exceed 30 meters. The FM3312-B110-1210 requires a DC supply of 24 V and has the ability to daisy chain for power and EtherCAT fellowship, thus enhancing the system by connecting several modules one after the other.
