AMI Integrated Drive Motors

The AMI Integrated Drive Motors combine a servo motor, servo drive electronics, and an EtherCAT fieldbus interface into a compact, machine-mounted package intended for distributed motion axes without a traditional control cabinet.

They are designed for 24 VDC or 48 VDC supply operation and cover motion tasks up to 400 W, with single-turn or multi-turn absolute encoder feedback (17-bit) selectable by type key. The series includes built-in thermal monitoring via an integrated LPTC-600 temperature contact, with a warning threshold at 120 °C and automatic switch-off at 140 °C to help protect the winding from overheating. Shaft and mechanical options such as a parallel key, IP65 shaft sealing variants, and an optional 24 VDC holding brake are available. For variants ordered with integrated safety, the permanently installed AMI8911 TwinSAFE functionality enables safety functions such as Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1) over Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE), with the safety behavior implemented by interrupting the PWM control path inside the drive.
