Product Description:
The AMI8121-4100-1F11 is a compact integrated servo drive manufactured by Beckhoff and supplied within the AMI Integrated Drive Motors series. The assembly combines a motor, drive, encoder, and safety hardware in a 58 mm frame that mounts close to the load, removing the need for long shielded motor cables. Intended for industrial automation, it provides closed-loop motion for distributed axes such as small conveyors, pick-and-place grippers, and format-adjustment spindles while remaining fully compatible with the TwinCAT control environment. Its decentralized design supports daisy-chain power distribution in modular machines.
The motor delivers a standstill torque of 0.48 N·m, which is suitable for positioning light mechanical loads without gear reduction. When acceleration demands rise, the rotor can reach 12,000 rpm, matching the winding type F and the six-pole magnetic layout. The mechanical connection uses an F2 (58 mm) flange, allowing direct coupling to IEC-compatible gearheads or mounting plates. Precise position feedback comes from a 17-bit multi-turn absolute encoder that retains the shaft position across multiple revolutions. Dynamic response is aided by a low rotor moment of inertia of 0.134 kg·cm², allowing control loops to achieve short settling times when frequent reversals are required.
System integration uses single-cable technology with EtherCAT communication, carrying real-time motion data, power, and 24 V control through one hybrid trunk. The sealed aluminum housing has an IP54 protection rating for the body and shaft, while convection cooling removes heat without external fans. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from 0 °C to +40 °C and at noncondensing relative humidity levels between 5% and 95%. A 24 V DC holding brake prevents drift on vertical axes, and TwinSAFE logic provides STO and other safety functions without separate modules. Additional features include the MDP profile for standardized parameterization, a weight of 1.35 kg, and a keyed shaft that complies with DIN 6885.
