The 4C PanelWare Panels comprise a modular operator-panel system built around compact panel controllers that interface to a host PLC/PC and manage connected display and keypad modules for machine HMI functions.
Across the C100, C200, and C220/C221 controller variants, the platform is powered from 24 VDC (18–30 VDC), supports one display module and up to seven keypad modules, and is configured/loaded using PG2000 (PL2000) with PanelWare software. Communication is centered on RS232 connectivity (with VT100 command-set operation noted for the C100), while higher controllers add additional RS232 ports, an electrically isolated RS422/RS485 interface, and—on the C220/C221—an electrically isolated CAN interface with adjustable node addressing. The controllers include built-in operational elements such as a hardware reset and rotary/number switches for operating mode (and CAN node number where applicable), plus a non-volatile real-time clock backed by an internal lithium battery compartment. For industrial cabinet installation, the series is specified for 0–50 °C operation with 10–95% non-condensing humidity and IEC 60068 shock/vibration robustness, with typical controller current demand on the order of roughly 65–130 mA at 24 VDC depending on model.
