Product Description:

The 4C1000.01-010 is one of B&R Automation’s non-intelligent panel controllers released under the C100 product line. Intended for use with at least one display and keyboard module, this non-intelligent panel controller relies mainly on a programmable logic controller (PLC) to perform management and visualization tasks. Unlike other intelligent panel controllers released by B&R Automation for PANELWARE products, this device is not self-sufficient on its own. To operate properly, this panel controller must receive control sequences from the PLC. Although non-intelligent panel controllers do not employ a built-in processor, they are still heavily used in industrial systems and applications due to their simplicity and cheap cost.

Because they rely mainly on the PLC, non-intelligent panel controllers such as the 4C1000.01-010 are perfect for handling keyboard and display modules for a smaller component of the system. Along with other advanced panel controllers, non-intelligent panel controllers can be configured as panel-slave devices. Like other modules released by B&R Automation from the PANELWARE product series, this device boasts a modular design. What this means is that it can safely be mixed and matched with other display or keyboard modules. Based on B&R’s official documentation, this module can accommodate a maximum of seven keypad modules during operation.

Aside from its simplicity, the 4C1000.01-010 is also celebrated for its wide operating range. While other panel controllers can only withstand an ambient temperature of up to 45 degrees Celsius during operation, this device can operate at a maximum temperature of 55 degrees Celsius. Like all other panel controllers, this module does not employ protection measures and relies mainly on external devices or circuits to deal with faults. Wake Industrial offers a one-year item warranty upon successful purchase of the 4C1000.01-010.
