The H6 Combivert Multi-Axis Drives system works as a DC-linked multi-axis drive controller that can run both synchronous and asynchronous motors across a wide current range.
These include applications up to 315A, with individual axis modules covering 2.6A to 210A nominal current and 2.2 times overload capability. Single-axis modules go up to 110kW, though the overall system can handle motors reaching 160kW through the DC bus coupling. All the axis modules stick to the same compact footprint - 400mm installation height and 200mm depth - which makes cabinet layout much easier when dealing with multiple axes. Communication happens through EtherCAT, which keeps data moving fast between modules while cutting down on the wiring mess. The control unit can work as an EtherCAT master, and there are plug-in fieldbus cards available for Profibus, CAN, Interbus, and Profinet interfaces. For feedback, there is a 2-channel multi-encoder interface that handles most common sensor types - incremental TTL, resolver, Sin/Cos, EnDat 2.1/2.2, Hiperface, BiSS, and SSI.
