The TVD Power Supply Modules from Bosch Rexroth Indramat comprise supply units for the modular AC drive system that convert a three-phase mains input into a regulated DC bus used to feed multiple connected drive modules.
In the TVD 1.3 family, the module is designed for direct connection to 3 × AC 380…480 V (50/60 Hz) and provides a DC bus around 320 VDC, with a buffer capacitor used to stabilize the bus for dynamic drive operation. The series integrates key power functions such as an internal mains contactor for disconnecting the drive power section and an internal bleeder/braking circuit that absorbs regenerated energy and converts it to heat rather than returning it to the mains. TVD modules also generate the system’s required signal/control voltages and include monitoring/interlock signaling used to establish drive readiness and report abnormal conditions.
