Product Description:

The EcoDrive 03 family includes the DKC drive controllers from Rexroth Indramat. The firmware of these drive controllers is on the ESM module. This allows for movement of the parameter set from a failed drive controller to the replacement unit in a matter of seconds without a computer being required. The DKC drive controllers provide solutions that are economical to various applications. These drive controllers are very popular due to their versatility as well as affordable price. Additionally, these drive controllers are compact-designed and have a low power range. Furthermore, the DKC drive controllers are specifically suited to machine tooling, printing, and packaging among other similar applications. The entire series of DKC drive controllers are not only good with single-axis machines but also multi-axis machines. The EcoDrive family of drive controllers is not suitable for use in settings with very extreme temperature variations, underwater, or in any other extreme condition. Their IP20 standards of protection help them in resisting dust only. The DKC06.3-100-7-FW drive controller is equipped with RS232/485 interface, Analog interface and a DKC06.3-LK-DVN01 optional card that offers DeviceNet interface. The Analog interface transmits continuous signals for basic control, while the RS232/485 protocols facilitate long-distance, noise-resistant data exchange. The DeviceNet enables real-time industrial network communication.

The Rexroth’s DKC06.3-100-7-FW EcoDrive 03 device is among the famous drive controllers in the DKC series. This drive controller features a series number of 6. Besides, this drive controller performs optimally when the operating environment's temperature is not below five degrees Celsius or over forty-five degrees Celsius. Despite this controller being able to operate at the highest temperature of fifty-five degrees Celsius, a significant drop in output will be experienced. This drive controller is suitable for use with a wide variety of motors. The high-quality hardware of this drive controller guarantees the user an excellent performance. It is believed that the DKC06.3-100-7-FW device is a great choice for any individual looking for an effective drive controller. This product is available from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.

Fault / error code

What it means

Corrective action

F218 — Amplifier heatsink over-temperature

The power-stage heatsink has exceeded its shutdown limit and the drive turns itself off

Let the unit cool, clear dust, restore cabinet airflow, replace failed fan or add forced ventilation

F219 — Motor over-temperature

Stator PTC has tripped at ≈ 155 °C, signalling that the motor is too hot

Reduce mechanical load/duty cycle, check ambient ≤ 40 °C, verify temperature-sensor wiring

F220 — Bleeder-resistor overload

Dynamic-braking resistor overheated during regeneration

Lengthen decel ramps, install larger or fan-cooled resistor, re-torque wiring

F221 — Motor-temperature surveillance defective

Temp-sensor circuit open or short

Megger MT+/MT– leads, repair cable, replace sensor if resistance is out of spec

F226 — DC-bus undervoltage

Link voltage fell below minimum limit while drive was enabled

Check mains fuses and supply wiring, look for brown-outs, test DC-link capacitors

F228 — Excessive position/velocity deviation

Command–actual difference exceeded monitoring window S-0-0159

Re-reference axis, tighten couplings, review accel/torque limits and tuning

F229 — Encoder 1 quadrant error

Motor-encoder signals invalid (noise, cable fault, contamination)

Inspect feedback cable & shield, clean resolver/optical disk, reroute cabling

F230 — Encoder 1 max-frequency exceeded

Hiperface/RSF signal above interface limit (overspeed or noise)

Verify speed parameters, check for runaway axis, improve shielding or replace cable

F234 — Emergency-stop activated

+24 V removed at E-Stop input – drive performed controlled stop

Trace E-Stop chain, reset safety relay, restore 24 V control voltage, clear fault

F401 — Double MST (SERCOS) communication loss

Two consecutive master-sync telegrams were missed, so the drive halted

Clean fibre-optic connectors, keep total attenuation < 12.5 dB, reseat transceivers
