The DKC06.3-004-3-MGP-01VRS is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the DKC Drive Controllers series. It regulates the current and voltage delivered to synchronous or induction servomotors in automated machinery. Within a motion system, it communicates with the higher-level PLC, interprets position commands, and modulates the inverter stage so that the connected axis follows velocity and torque references during manufacturing, packaging, or material-handling cycles. This control behavior helps the motor respond consistently during acceleration, steady running, and deceleration. Because the inverter stage is controlled electronically, the unit can also respond to changing load conditions without uncontrolled speed drift.
Internally, the controller operates on a DC link stabilized at 300 V, which sets the shared energy level when several axes use a common supply. This arrangement allows the drive to work with shared bus components rather than relying on a separate internal source for each axis. During rated operation, it can deliver a continuous phase current of 4 A to the motor windings while drawing no more than 1.1 A from the AC mains. The difference between motor phase current and mains draw reflects the conversion between the input supply and the controlled inverter output. At that output, the electronics dissipate 100 W as heat, so cabinet ventilation must remove this thermal load to keep internal parts within operating limits. The drive retains full performance up to an ambient temperature of 40 °C, and higher temperatures require derating or additional cooling.
The controller has an installation weight of 1.8 kg, so it can be mounted on a DIN rail or panel without special handling equipment. Its low mass also helps when the control cabinet has limited mounting space. It uses the Multi interface, general purpose option, which supports several serial and parallel fieldbus choices for different machine layouts. This interface selection allows the same controller family to fit different communication structures without changing the basic power stage. Hardware interface option 06 provides the corresponding terminal set for those connections. The EcoDrive designation identifies the platform used by this controller, and design code 3 with version 01 indicates the third-generation build with the first revision of this control package.
